These high-rise concrete placing booms come from the KT series at CIFA and are easy to assemble and use. With easy and quick delivery on a truck, and with safe assembly and placement, the boom can arrive on site with no delay on schedules. The booms also have a self-contained electric-over-hydraulic tower jacking system which are fitted with either an elevator shaft or a floor opening frame. This provides easy access for operators and on-site workers once the boom is assembled and ready to use.

The PB33A-4ZC placing boom has 4Z folding arms that create a horizontal reach of 33 metres. This allows operators to cover a larger square meterage of the site and spread concrete at the press of a button and with ease. The remote control for operator use is a lightweight design without any bulky buttons so they aren’t carrying a control panel around the site that weighs a tonne. It provides control of the main boom arm and the main functions of the machinery.

The PB36A-4ZC has a similar assembly system to the 33A with its lightweight design and with a 4Z folding arm structure. This model, however, has a greater horizontal reach at 36 metres and unlike the 33A’s reach depth of 19.2 metres, it has a reach depth of 23.7 metres.

Both these placing booms have been reviewed as some of the safest to use, with easy assembly and no hidden extras.

During their four-to-six-month project alongside Bielby holdings, Geelong Concrete Pumping completed a whopping 26 foundation pours for the Berrybank wind farm.

At the commencement of their work, all employees completed safety induction procedures for the specialised renewable energy project, in addition to all mobile pumps being inducted for use on site. The team were able to utilise multiple concrete pumps on site during the foundation pours including blinding concrete and dental concrete pours.

Showcased during the project were Geelong Concrete Pumping’s 36 and 34 metre Schwing mobile pumps which assisted in pouring the 2 kilometre stretch of transmission tower foundations. Since this project, the team have recently submitted a proposal in Queensland for another wind farm project with Nathan Contractors. This ongoing project has exciting opportunities for the team moving forward and only strengthens their relationship with the Australia wide contractors.

The team at Geelong Concrete Pumping also played a role in the construction of the GMHBA Building in Geelong on their 18-month project alongside Kanes construction. The project saw the team showcasing their high-rise pump capabilities, using their 47-metre boom pump to reach all the way up the nine-storey building. The entire team underwent safety inductions prior to commencement of works to ensure they were adequately prepared for the multi-story building’s construction. This cost-effective way of pumping made Geelong Concrete Pumping’s machinery the best choice for this project.

The limits of the teams’ capabilities don’t stop there. They were a part of a six-month project alongside Becon in Ocean Grove completing all types of concrete pours for a BP fuel station. From driveways, to footing, and support structures, the team utilised their mobile pumps to get the job done. With their diverse capabilities, and sizes, the mobile pumps were the perfect choice for the job, able to be expertly adapted to individual concrete pours as needed.
